Lung Cancer
Lung cancer has been the major reason for cancer deaths in both men and women researchers say .The American Cancer Society most recently estimated the number ofdeaths from lung cancer which was around three lakhs, beyond imagination I guess? Well what causes the lung cancer in the first place? Smoking tobacco is the pronominal cause of this deadlydisease. Exposures to asbestos and radon gases are other reasons for causing cancer. Lung cancer can be genetic as it is easily developed if there is a family history behind it, there are so many cancer research institutions available, considering India, the most famous one will be the RGCIRC, and in the southernmost part of India “Malabar cancer institute” has been treating many cancer patients. They treat number of people affected by cancer not only in the state of Kerala but also in the neighbouring states. This institute once fully equipped is supposed to be the one of the largest of its kind in the southern part of the country. Tobacco being the main concern to considerable deaths, Banningof tobacco has been carried out in different countries to minimize the death rate. Another efficient way is to check the radon levels in your home. Everybody who is concerned in the well-being of others health would suggest to stop their smoking habit.Quitting reduces your risk of lung cancer, even if you’ve smoked for years [better late than never].
Case Study on Lung Cancer
Lung cancer has become a frequently occurring disease in human beings. Throw a stone in a public and it will hit a patient who is suffering from lung cancer. And it is no surprise as when we commensurate with the number of cigarette packets sold in a day. The number of people using cigarette increases exponential in spite of the fact that the wrapper of cigarette packet contains a caption that “tobacco causes cancer, tobacco is harmful to health”. When these captions made no decrease in the number of people uses it but rather increased it. So scientists made an artificial set up of the respiratory system. In which the lungs in real are replaced by water. A vacuum set up is made for replacing the inhaling process in human beings. It is observed that the water which is subjected to cigarette smoke becomes black in colour after the 400th cigarette inhaled. When this water is boiled completely, the residue left behind is a black sticky precipitate containing many toxic chemical in it.This shows the reason for lung cancer.

Do you smoke a cigarette? Do you wear an ‘I don’t care’ attitude on your sleeves? Considering the fact that cigarette smoking is not the sole cause of lung cancer and believing in the fact that the advertisement warning against cancer on the cover of a cigarette packet is not enough, I have decided to jot down all the roots to lung cancer in anticipation that many would read, some would learn and someone may actually be benefitted. We are definitely going to talk about the man with attitude here, Yuvraj Singh has just turned 30 is found to have non-malignant tumorin his left lung, During the World Cup, Yuvraj found himself constantly troubled by bouts of coughing and vomiting. Familymembers thought it was just the stress, and his desire to excel on the biggest stage… so they just ignored it, After enjoying the entertainments and celebrating his victory for the World cup, Yuvi went for normal medical checkup, To their horror, they found a golf-ball sized lump over his left lung, It was definitely a tumor. “I didn’t believe the reports,” he said. “I felt fine, and deep inside, I felt good too,” he said, almost embarrassed to go into the painful details.
Case study on Lung Cancer
This story is about a young girl who lost her father to lung cancer. Her story is poignant and real, and for those who have been touched by the deadly effects of tobacco use, sadly familiar. The words she spoke during her interview made everybody’s heart shrill. Let you read the words she spoke.
A month after my 2nd birthday, I knew something was not right in my family. I was too young to understand, my dad was really sick, my dad lived, and smoked three packs a day in my home. Ican’t recall his face now ,my mom always says he hugs me every day after he comes back from office , i miss that touch of his maybe, my dad had this deadly disease cancer, mom always knew no one was there to support her with this , We had to sell our travel agency, we ran on debt .My mother was a strong lady though , she cared for him more than anything ,helping him to the bathroom(he couldn’t do that on his own either),he wanted to hold my mom’s hand always. I personally don’t remind these things and make her cry, i knew he loved smoking. Vivid memories of my dad passed away, a handsome man who loved sweets, to a sickly skeleton who didn’t even have the appetite for a spoonful of ice-cream. My mom couldn’t digest seeing her husband like this, she went through mentaltorture, I know he had a painful death, hewasn’t worth it, he was alcoholic he liked smoking so what?He still is my dad .So why should you care about my dad, who has been dead for seventeen years? Just because he is representing millions of people those who die from tobacco-related diseases every year throughout the world. He represents thousands who began smoking as kids, and thousands of kids who begin every day. Let me assure you, having seen how lung cancer ravages and destroys the human body, please don’t add numbers to the statistics.
Attenuating the Effect of Lung Cancer
Before exposing you to the new method of spotting the presence of lung cancer, there is a shocking statistics, which explains the reason why would anyone try so hard in inhibiting this baneful disease, someone die for every eight seconds in this world. In this method, we use optical noticing of lung cancer tissues by the use of attenuated total reflectance. Fourier transform infrared microscope and confocal Raman microscope are performed. A total of five malignant tissues, six tissues adjacent to cancer, and eight normal tissues from eight patients with known lung cancer were taken into account. The high quality spectra are obtained from the human tissues every second. This short duration timing would help the complete study of lung cancer tissues. The result showed various differences between the signal received from the normal tissue and the malignant tissue. So this will help the identification of tumour cells. Some other ways possible are Raman spectrum and ATR-FTIR found to be sensitive enough. This study will be useful in high speed spotting of the presence of lung cancer.
